Synopsis

The inhabitants of a small Palestinian village in the occupied territories have been desperately looking for Abou Salem’s lost donkey. Sami, a little ten year-old boy, finds the lost donkey. But the donkey refuses to return; he would rather return to Haifa, where his ancestors lived. Sami decides to take him there. The boy and the donkey begin their treck across Palestine.
