Synopsis

Abu Raed is a lonely janitor at Amman’s International Airport. In his neighborhood, all the children believe he is a pilot. He tells them fantastic stories. Never having realized his dreams of seeing the world, he experiences it vicariously through books and brief encounters with travellers. This is very different from his friend, Nour, who is a real pilot. Mourad, an angry outsider, vindictively attacks Abu Raed. “Captain Abu Raed” is a universal story of friendship, inspiration and heroism set in contemporary Jordan.
