HOMMAGE À HEDI JOUINI ET À MOHAMED JAMOUSSI

On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of two true monuments of Tunisian music, Hedi Jouini and Mohamed Jamoussi, Carthage Film Festival pays tribute to a lesser-known aspect of their careers; their contribution to cinema. Hedi Jouini wrote all of the songs, both the French and Arabic versions, for the French film, «La septième porte» , filmed in Morocco (where he appeared beside his wife, Tunisian singer, Widad), and played the lead role in the film, Le «Possedé». Mohammed Jamoussi went to Cairo to play in three films beside the famous Youssef Wahby. Carthage honors their memory through film, and song.
