Synopsis

In the busy streets of Abidjan, Tony, an out of school young man, sells cigarettes to get money. But he will turn to violence. Filmed in 11 days with a young neighborhood who invented their own slang, Burn it up Djassa renews the cinema in Côte d’Ivoire.



Réalisateur


Born in 1986 in Abidjan, Lonesome Solo grew up in the neighborhoods of the Ivorian capital. He defines himself as a child of the ghetto. Passionate about cinema, he took correspondence courses and started making movies with friends. He has directed three short films. "Burn it up Djassa" is his first feature film.
