Around the festival : Exhibition The Ogress Nacer Khemir

I agreed to set up this exhibition around the tale and myth of the
ogress because this experience, which began forty years ago in the
summer of 1974, clearly raises the issue of our relationship with
the Spoken Word and the Image, with tradition and modernity.
More importantly, it illustrates concretely the theme of my last
film "Where to Start? ".
The exhibition will lay out an apparently
modest plastic adventure, but in reality a very important
demonstration; how do we seize our traditions and invest in our
inheritance through creation in order to give our children a culture
to come without breaking ties with the past and consequently
avoiding a definite anthropological death which might exacerbate
"murderous" identities or lead to the criminal abandonment of this
legacy and an inevitable servile future.
