While reviewing the history of these characters, the filmmaker relates the events that shaped Egypt from 1952 up till 2014.

Statement of intent

The situation in Egypt reached such a state of complexity that I felt more than just monitoring or observing was needed. It was crucial to analyze it in detail. I realized that what we were going through was the result of many accumulations, involving many parties, governments, with the participation of the opposition and the people themselves. So it was a must to knock on all doors and hear their testimonies and analyze them.
