Such as spirit refusing to die, the old Medina of Casablanca embodied by a Voice leads us towards its inhabitants whose life stories, captured in the heart of their daily lifes, reveal a true universal human tragedy, where the poetry of drama is still present. Rejection , injustice, survival since the dawn of time, is in them or never far away, but there is something else: the beauty, the poetry of the place, the tremendous energy , the joy.
Dalila Ennadre was born in 1966 in Casablanca. After having grown in Paris, she lived from 1985 to 1996, in Guyana, Germany, Morocco and Canada. A self-taught filmmaker, she directed several films about women's rights in Morocco and won many awards in many festivals around the world.
