Mariana, from the Chilean upper bougeoisie, tries to escape the role her father and then her husband have always imposed on her. She feels a strange attraction to Juan, her riding instructor, a 60-year-old ex-colonel suspected of committing atrocities during the dictatorship. But this affair shatters the invisible walls that protect her family from the past.
