Shahrbanoo Sadat - Danemark - France - Suède - Afghanistan


A hamlet of the Hazara ethnic group is lost in the Afghan mountains. The children keep the cattle, protecting them from the wolves. The boys train at the sling, the girls dream of getting married. Sediqa, 12 years old, is excluded because she would bring bad luck. Qodrat, a boy her age, is also rejected because of his mother's situation. A friendship starts between the excluded pair.

Shahrbanoo Sadat is born in Iran. She came to live in Afghanistan and studied cinema at the University of Kabul. At 20, she is invited by the Atelier de la Cinéfondation at Cannes Film Festival. «Wolf and sheep» was selected by La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in 2016, and won the Art Cinema Award.
