Nour-Eddine SAIL: Jury President

Teacher and Inspector General philosophy until 1984, Nour-Eddine SAIL is the founder in 1973 of the National Federation of the Cinema Clubs of Morocco and was the President until 1983.
He was a film critic on the radio and TV for many years.
Writer-producer-screptwriter, he was Director of programs for the Moroccan Television (TVM, 1984-1986), Advisor to the Chairman of the Audiovisual ONA group (1989-1990), Director of Programs Canal + Horizons (1990-2000), Managing Director of 2M (2nd string Moroccan television, 2000-2003), Director of the Moroccan Cinematographic Centre (CCM, from 2003 to 2014) and Executive Vice President of the International Film Festival of Marrakech (MIFF 2004 -2014).
He is currently Chairman of the Foundation of African Cinema (Khouribga, Morocco) and President of the Ouarzazate Film Commission.

Abel Jafri

Jafri was born in Tunisia from a Tunisian mother and an Algerian father.
He first started in theater before entering the world of cinema.
Actor in several successful movies: The Passion by Mel Gibson, Bled Number One by Rabah Ameur Zaimeche (Jury Prize, Un Certain Regard Section at Cannes 2004), the Dernier Maquis Rabah Ameur Zaimeche (Quinzaine des réalisateurs Cannes ), not forgetting the 7 césar awarded film Timbuktu.

Born in Kairouan (Tunisia). Anissa Barrak has over 30 years experience in diplomacy and international relations.
A specialist in strategic communications and international politics.
She currently holds the position of Regional Director for the International Organization of la Francophonie for Asia and the Pacific.

Leïla SHAHID

Leila SHAHID is Ambassador of Palestine to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg.

she graduated in sociology and anthropology, she was the first woman to represent the Organization for the Liberation of Palestine (PLO)

Marcela Said

Born in Santiago, Chile. Marcela Said continued her studies at the Catholic University of Santiago and La Sorbonne.

To her credit four documentary films, including El mocito (Berlinale 2011) and feature film The Summer of Flying Fish (Quinzaine des Réalisateurs 2013 Cannes Film Festival).

Newton Aduaka

Born in 1966 in Ogidi (Nigeria). Newton Aduaka studied at the London International Film School in parallel with his engineering studies.

His short films notably "On the Edge" gave him international fame. Status he will later maintain with his feature film Ezra (2006).

Oussama Faouzi

Born in 1961 in Cairo. Graduate from the Higher Institute of Cinema.
He worked as an assistant for various Egyptian directors. Author of three feature films Démons de l'asphalte 1997, Le Paradis des anges déchus 1999 et J'aime le cinéma 2004.
