At 18, Miguel took part in the Lebanese civil war to prove to society that he existed and could act “like a real man”. He fails and goes into exile in Spain. It is only now, more than thirty-seven years after leaving Lebanon, that Miguel feels ready to face his trauma and the ghosts of the past.
